Merge PDF: common questions

Does merging change the quality of my PDF pages?

Pages are copied as PDF objects rather than rendered as images. Text and page artwork remain in PDF form. This is a page-combining tool: document bookmarks, interactive form behavior and digital signatures are not preserved reliably. Review the result if these matter.

How many PDFs can I merge?

Up to 50 files and 50 pages in total. Each file must be under 64 MB, and the combined input and final output each have a 128 MB limit. These conservative limits leave room for PDF structures and copies in browser memory; some complex documents may still exceed your device’s resources.

Can I merge a password-protected PDF?

Encrypted files are rejected. Open the document in an application with its password, export an unencrypted copy if you are authorized to do so, then add that copy here.
