ICO to JPG, explained
Convert ICO to JPG directly on your device. Create a JPG (JPEG) copy for photo sharing and image-only upload forms. Inspect the preview dimensions and transparent edges. Converting a small decoded icon does not restore a larger source image or add lost detail.
Choose ICO files and confirm the preview.
Keep JPG selected. Adjust quality and check fine detail after conversion.
Convert and download the JPG results. Multiple results can be saved together as a ZIP.
Reading your ICO source
ICO files may contain multiple icon representations. The browser chooses a representation to decode; this tool does not expose a picker for every embedded size or export every icon entry.
Settings for JPG output
Start at JPEG quality 90 and inspect the result. Lower values trade detail for compression; a higher setting cannot recover missing source detail. Transparent areas use your chosen background (white by default); change it in Advanced Settings.
Dimensions in ICO to JPG
Original size keeps decoded raster dimensions. Advanced Settings offers percentage scaling or fit within a maximum width and height, with aspect ratio preserved and no cropping. Input and output safety limits both apply.
What survives the conversion
JPG uses lossy compression and has no alpha channel. Fine text and hard edges can develop artifacts; compare a PNG output when those details matter. Inspect the preview dimensions and transparent edges. Converting a small decoded icon does not restore a larger source image or add lost detail.
Batch processing and device limits
Choose up to 50 files, each at most 64 MB. Decoded images must fit 24 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per side; total outputs are capped at 256 MB. All conversion runs on this device. Source metadata is removed, and damaged or unsupported variants can fail without changing the originals.
