SVG to ICO, explained
Convert SVG to ICO directly on your device. Create a real ICO container for an application or icon workflow that accepts PNG-backed icons. Inspect lettering and edges against the vector original. Fonts can depend on the device; outline text in the authoring application when exact lettering matters. Keep the SVG for later vector editing.
Choose SVG files and confirm the preview.
Keep ICO selected. Review the output behavior below before converting.
Convert and download the ICO results. Multiple results can be saved together as a ZIP.
Reading your SVG source
Only self-contained static SVG is accepted. Scripts, event handlers, foreign objects, styles, filters, embedded images and external resources are rejected. The browser rasterizes accepted shapes at the decoded dimensions.
Settings for ICO output
The picture is fitted proportionally into a 256 × 256 canvas, centered with transparent padding. Smaller images can be enlarged; no additional detail is created. The output contains one PNG-backed icon entry.
Dimensions in SVG to ICO
Decoded source dimensions determine the aspect ratio inside the 256 × 256 icon. Source image limits still apply before fitting, so a huge input cannot bypass the 24-megapixel limit simply by choosing ICO.
What survives the conversion
Every ICO output is 256 × 256 pixels. This is not a multi-size icon bundle, and some older applications may require other icon sizes or a different representation. Inspect lettering and edges against the vector original. Fonts can depend on the device; outline text in the authoring application when exact lettering matters. Keep the SVG for later vector editing.
Batch processing and device limits
Choose up to 50 files, each at most 64 MB. Decoded images must fit 24 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per side; total outputs are capped at 256 MB. All conversion runs on this device. Source metadata is removed, and damaged or unsupported variants can fail without changing the originals.
