JFIF to WEBP, explained
Convert JFIF to WEBP directly on your device. Create a still WEBP image for a website or application that accepts WEBP. Check the decoded photo before conversion. A .jfif extension does not guarantee valid JPEG data, and damaged downloads can still fail.
Choose JFIF files and confirm the preview.
Keep WEBP selected. Adjust quality and check fine detail after conversion.
Convert and download the WEBP results. Multiple results can be saved together as a ZIP.
Reading your JFIF source
A .jfif download commonly contains JPEG image data. This tool decodes and re-encodes that image; it does more than rename the extension. Existing compression artifacts remain and source metadata is removed.
Settings for WEBP output
Choose WEBP quality and compare the actual bytes after conversion. Decoded alpha can be retained. The tool does not expose a lossless WEBP switch or guarantee a smaller result.
Dimensions in JFIF to WEBP
Original size keeps decoded raster dimensions. Advanced Settings offers percentage scaling or fit within a maximum width and height, with aspect ratio preserved and no cropping. Input and output safety limits both apply.
What survives the conversion
This WEBP export is a still image with adjustable lossy quality. It does not preserve animation, even when the source contains multiple frames. Check the decoded photo before conversion. A .jfif extension does not guarantee valid JPEG data, and damaged downloads can still fail.
Batch processing and device limits
Choose up to 50 files, each at most 64 MB. Decoded images must fit 24 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per side; total outputs are capped at 256 MB. All conversion runs on this device. Source metadata is removed, and damaged or unsupported variants can fail without changing the originals.
