TIFF to GIF, explained
Convert TIFF to GIF directly on your device. Create a still GIF for a workflow that requires a GIF image. Compare scan text, colors and fine detail. Keep the original TIFF for additional pages, print metadata, original precision and archival use.
Choose TIFF files and confirm the preview.
Keep GIF selected. Review the output behavior below before converting.
Convert and download the GIF results. Multiple results can be saved together as a ZIP.
Reading your TIFF source
Select TIFF pages or export all pages in document order. Each page becomes a separate result or a combined PDF. Specialized TIFF compression and professional high-bit-depth workflows may not be supported.
Settings for GIF output
GIF output uses a fixed 256-entry palette and a single transparent palette index. Partly transparent pixels become transparent or opaque, so soft edges and smooth gradients can change visibly.
Dimensions in TIFF to GIF
Original size keeps decoded raster dimensions. Advanced Settings offers percentage scaling or fit within a maximum width and height, with aspect ratio preserved and no cropping. Input and output safety limits both apply.
What survives the conversion
This tool writes one still GIF frame. There is no animation, frame-rate control or JPEG-style quality slider. Inspect banding and compare PNG for detailed graphics. Compare scan text, colors and fine detail. Keep the original TIFF for additional pages, print metadata, original precision and archival use.
Batch processing and device limits
Choose up to 50 files, each at most 64 MB. Decoded images must fit 24 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per side; total outputs are capped at 256 MB. All conversion runs on this device. Source metadata is removed, and damaged or unsupported variants can fail without changing the originals.
