PDF to BMP, explained
Convert PDF to BMP directly on your device. Create a 24-bit BMP bitmap for software that specifically requires BMP input. Choose pages and resolution before rendering.
Choose PDF files and confirm the preview and page count.
Choose a page range and resolution, then keep BMP selected.
Convert and download the BMP results. Multiple results can be saved together as a ZIP.
Reading your PDF source
Choose All pages or Selected pages with a range such as 1, 3–5. Each selected page is rendered locally, in document order, and filenames keep the original page numbers. A PDF can contain at most 50 pages.
Settings for BMP output
BMP export is uncompressed 24-bit RGB, without a quality slider. Transparent areas use your chosen background (white by default); change it in Advanced Settings. Expect substantially larger files than compressed photo formats.
Dimensions in PDF to BMP
Choose Screen (108 PPI), 150 PPI or 300 PPI and review each selected page’s estimated pixel dimensions. Resolution controls rendered pixels, independently of compression quality. Optional resize in Advanced Settings applies afterward; the preview shows final output dimensions as well. PDF pages are rendered onto white. ICO output then fits that raster into 256 × 256 pixels.
What survives the conversion
The output stores decoded RGB pixels without JPEG-style compression. It does not preserve source alpha, layers, vector data or original high-bit-depth samples. Inspect small text, symbols and fonts. Rendering flattens document structure: text is no longer selectable, links stop working, and no OCR or extraction of original embedded images is performed.
Batch processing and device limits
Each document must fit 64 MB and 50 pages. Selected pages are checked before full rendering against 24 megapixels, 16,384 pixels per side and a 256 MB estimated pixel-buffer budget. Lower resolution if necessary. PDF batches render sequentially; actual browser memory may exceed the estimate. Total outputs must fit 256 MB.
