JFIF to ICO, explained
Convert JFIF to ICO directly on your device. Create a real ICO container for an application or icon workflow that accepts PNG-backed icons. Check the decoded photo before conversion. A .jfif extension does not guarantee valid JPEG data, and damaged downloads can still fail.
Choose JFIF files and confirm the preview.
Keep ICO selected. Review the output behavior below before converting.
Convert and download the ICO results. Multiple results can be saved together as a ZIP.
Reading your JFIF source
A .jfif download commonly contains JPEG image data. This tool decodes and re-encodes that image; it does more than rename the extension. Existing compression artifacts remain and source metadata is removed.
Settings for ICO output
The picture is fitted proportionally into a 256 × 256 canvas, centered with transparent padding. Smaller images can be enlarged; no additional detail is created. The output contains one PNG-backed icon entry.
Dimensions in JFIF to ICO
Decoded source dimensions determine the aspect ratio inside the 256 × 256 icon. Source image limits still apply before fitting, so a huge input cannot bypass the 24-megapixel limit simply by choosing ICO.
What survives the conversion
Every ICO output is 256 × 256 pixels. This is not a multi-size icon bundle, and some older applications may require other icon sizes or a different representation. Check the decoded photo before conversion. A .jfif extension does not guarantee valid JPEG data, and damaged downloads can still fail.
Batch processing and device limits
Choose up to 50 files, each at most 64 MB. Decoded images must fit 24 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per side; total outputs are capped at 256 MB. All conversion runs on this device. Source metadata is removed, and damaged or unsupported variants can fail without changing the originals.
