FormatPlease provides free browser-based image, PDF, audio and video tools. No account is required.

Your files, your responsibility

You retain ownership of your files and converted results. Only process material you have permission to use. Keep your originals, and check converted files before using them for important work.

Conversion limitations

Conversion may change colors, compression, transparency, animation, or metadata. Animated images export a still frame, and photo metadata is not preserved. Browser support, available memory, and file complexity affect the result.

Video conversion and codecs

Video is re-encoded locally and may lose quality or change file size. Unsupported codecs, encryption and browser memory limits can prevent conversion. Keep your source files. FFmpeg is a third-party GPL-licensed component; nothing in these terms restricts rights granted by its license. Open-source software licenses and codec patent obligations are separate matters, and no universal patent clearance is promised.

PDF and audio results

Images and TIFF scans converted to PDF remain raster pages without an OCR text layer. PDF editing does not guarantee preservation of bookmarks, forms, metadata or digital signatures. Review page order and the exported document before sharing it. Audio conversion may change sample representation or apply lossy compression depending on the chosen format; a lossless output cannot restore information already lost in a source.

Availability

The tool is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted service or suitability for every use. These terms do not exclude rights or protections that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
