Aspect ratio is always preserved. No cropping or stretching. Enlarging does not add detail.

Auto orientation · Automatic
Browser-decoded images use the orientation supported by your browser. Check the preview before converting. TIFF orientation is applied to pixels before resizing.

Metadata · Remove metadata
EXIF, GPS and other source metadata are not copied to the newly encoded file. Keep the original if you need these details. Keep metadata is unavailable because no current engine preserves it. ICC is color information, not privacy metadata; color-managed native decode uses sRGB and does not retain the source profile.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT OUTPUT

AVIF to TIFF, explained

Convert AVIF to TIFF directly on your device. Create a single-image TIFF raster copy for a TIFF-compatible application. Check brightness, gradients and color against the source in an AVIF-capable viewer. The fallback rejects unsupported color profiles and transforms rather than silently altering them.

  1. Choose AVIF files and confirm the preview.

  2. Keep TIFF selected. Review the output behavior below before converting.

  3. Convert and download the TIFF results. Multiple results can be saved together as a ZIP.

Reading your AVIF source

AVIF uses native decoding first and a local WASM fallback for compatible sRGB still files. Test one image first. This workflow creates a still raster copy and does not promise to preserve HDR, original bit depth, embedded profiles or animation.

Settings for TIFF output

TIFF export writes the decoded 8-bit RGBA raster without a quality slider. Decoded alpha can be retained. It does not offer CMYK, print-profile or high-bit-depth export controls.

Dimensions in AVIF to TIFF

Original size keeps decoded raster dimensions. Advanced Settings offers percentage scaling or fit within a maximum width and height, with aspect ratio preserved and no cropping. Input and output safety limits both apply.

What survives the conversion

The TIFF is a raster copy, not a restored archival master. Each result contains one image; multiple outputs are delivered separately or as a ZIP, not merged into a multipage TIFF. Check brightness, gradients and color against the source in an AVIF-capable viewer. The fallback rejects unsupported color profiles and transforms rather than silently altering them.

Batch processing and device limits

Choose up to 50 files, each at most 64 MB. Decoded images must fit 24 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per side; total outputs are capped at 256 MB. All conversion runs on this device. Source metadata is removed, and damaged or unsupported variants can fail without changing the originals.

AVIF to TIFF: common questions

What should I check before converting AVIF to TIFF?

AVIF uses native decoding first and a local WASM fallback for compatible sRGB still files. Test one image first. This workflow creates a still raster copy and does not promise to preserve HDR, original bit depth, embedded profiles or animation.

Which settings affect the TIFF result from AVIF?

TIFF export writes the decoded 8-bit RGBA raster without a quality slider. Decoded alpha can be retained. It does not offer CMYK, print-profile or high-bit-depth export controls.

Does AVIF to TIFF change the image dimensions?

Original size keeps decoded raster dimensions. Advanced Settings offers percentage scaling or fit within a maximum width and height, with aspect ratio preserved and no cropping. Input and output safety limits both apply.
