Common questions

What can I do with GIF files?

Choose the first frame or extract all frames. GIF output is a still 256-color image.

Will conversion retain the original color profile and metadata?

Raster outputs contain decoded 8-bit sRGB pixels. Source ICC, EXIF, GPS, XMP and IPTC are not retained. Color-profile warnings appear when detected; keep your original for print or archival use.

Are my files uploaded?

Conversion runs locally in your browser. Only the required conversion code is downloaded; your file content is not sent to a conversion server. Advertising makes separate network requests.
